“CRAFF-ACPM Fly Fishing Experience”
One of the cornerstones of CRAFF-ACPM is to grow the organization and create new fly fishermen (and women). A firm step towards our development is, therefore, our Fly Fishing Experience.
Organized and held in public areas within the Central Valley like Sabana Park, the events take place on weekends in the morning hours.
At these experiences, beginners can learn from CRAFF-ACPM members various aspects of Fly Fishing. These include:
What is Fly Fishing and what is CRAFF-ACPM?
What type of equipment do we use (rod, reel, line, leader/tippet, flies, etc)
What species can I catch on a fly in Costa Rica and where?
What is fly tying and how do you do it (with demonstration)?
How do I cast a fly rod?
How can I become a member of CRAFF-ACPM?
come & learn
The MOST important thing is participation! We encourage our members and non-members to come and learn. No fisherman knows everything and you shouldn’t be intimidated by fly fishing. It is a process and all of us started from zero. CRAFF-ACPM is welcoming and willing to show you how to get started and how fishing can impact your life and nature in a positive way.
